About Me
I'm passionate about creativity, dedicated to growth, and always exploring new ways to inspire and be inspired.

Hello!
I'm Andrew Preble, I started as a maker. Creating in Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, you know back in the Macromedia days. Working on logos, print work, and in pixels. Over the years I focused myself into the user experience and interface world. In time I became a leader and that shift taught me something I didn't expect: the hardest design problems aren't interface problems. They're alignment problems and maturity problems. The interface is usually just where the organizational dysfunction shows up.
I've worked across enterprise, startup, consulting, and everything in between. From early mobile-first debates in the iPhone era to full emersive virtual reality experiences all hit with the organizational complexity that comes with designing at scale. Along the way I've had the chance to work with companies like Apple, Google, Marriott, and Deloitte. Across healthcare, hospitality, automotive, and more.
Right now I'm a Senior Manager & Experience Architect at Deloitte, inside the Product Engineering practice. That means helping enterprise product teams think more clearly about the people doing the work. From research and systems thinking to figuring out where AI and Agentics actually fits in the daily user journey.
I'm still learning, deliberately. The AI frontier is the most interesting and consequential design challenge of my career and I'm investing in understanding it seriously. Not just as a tool, but as a shift in how humans and systems interact.
Teaching is something I've done before and expect to return to. Writing is how I think out loud, which is what Field Notes is for.
With all of this, outside the work: I have a family that matters more to me than any title or career milestone. Watching my daughter grow up is the best project I've ever been part of. I shoot astrophotography, build with Legos, and try to get out on the water when I can.
I've come to believe that the best practitioners are whole people. Balance in your life isn't a compromise, it's what makes the work better.
If something here resonates, read the Field Notes. If you want to see the work, request access to the portfolio. If you want to connect, LinkedIn is the best place to find me.
